Not only does she create the tastiest cakes and treats we’ve ever had, the whole process of placing your order with her right until delivery on the day is like a dream.
We met her at a wedding fair and loved her concept of a dessert table instead of just a wedding cake.
We ordered taster boxes the year before the wedding to decide on the flavours we wanted. Then closer to the time we had a zoom call to discuss designs/selections. Jen produced a mood board and image of the cake, so we knew exactly what we were getting.
The set-up on the morning of the wedding was perfect, the dessert table looked fantastic and tasted it too!! Jen then came back the following morning to pack-up and box up any leftovers for us (there was hardly any because the guests had enjoyed it that much).
Jen’s communication through the whole process was completely on point, she was an absolute joy to work with!”

“We decided to hire Jen after first meeting her at a wedding fair at Whirlowbrook Hall. We loved her display, and the cakes were lovely, but it was Jen's personality and approach that won us over. She was fabulous to work with through each step of the process and was helpful, patient, fun and supportive. During our consultation calls it felt like talking with a friend and we had a good laugh, whilst she skilfully managed to get from us what we wanted even though we couldn't clearly articulate exactly what that was! She also followed up each meeting quickly with a detailed summary so it was clear what we agreed on designs, flavours, and other details. For our wedding cake, Jen came back with a very detailed preview document which showed a mock-up of what our cake would look like, with references to our colour scheme, inspirations, and details of ingredients. It really gave us confidence in what we were ordering, and the final product looked amazing. Jen provided a detailed "on the day" document which outlined exactly what to expect (where and when) on the day from her. We felt like Jen totally had this under control and we had no concerns before or during the day regarding the cakes. We loved the cakes and cookies she made, as did our guests. Jen was great from start to end, and in our opinion offered a personalised service which was above and beyond expectations.”

From the first meeting where she really listened to what we were looking for at our Warehouse Wedding, and she even got super excited about some of the details we were looking for (popcorn and Ferraro Rocher to be included as they are favourite of ours). “Going with Chessy Bakery was the perfect decision for our wedding, not only because the cakes were delicious, but also how easy Jen made the whole experience for us. Jen made everything super simple by providing her great know-how of what cakes and flavours to consider, whilst also keeping a keen eye on the important things like dietary requirements. Jen also managed to transform our vague ideas of what the cake could look like into something that became the perfect centerpiece for the whole wedding breakfast.
But most importantly, the cakes were so so tasty! For our main cake we decided to go with a single tier lemon cake with white chocolate ganache, and then complimented this with a range of tray bakes including carrot cake, brownies and Kinder chocolate cookies. Everything was delicious, and our guests were sneaking extra slices to take back to their rooms (as were the hotel staff...!).
Overall, we can't recommend Chessy Bakery enough! Jen was personable, professional and lovely throughout the whole experience, and made buying our wedding cake such a fun and relaxed part of our wedding plans. And again, we can't overstate how delicious everything was on the day!”

“Jen from Chessy Bakery has been absolutely incredible for both events she has provided for us. Firstly, we had Jen for our wedding day. I had ideas for the cake but couldn’t fully envision it or see how it would all link together. However, Jen listened to all my ideas and produced the most incredible design. She then created the cake and it was an absolute masterpiece and tasted phenomenal. We also got Jen to do our wedding favours, which were the white chocolate & raspberry cookies and they were so tasty!!
So much so that we decided to get Jen to cater a dessert table for our daughters naming ceremony and also to bake cookies for the gift bags! The dessert table again looked magnificent and despite majorly over catering for the number of guests, it all went and was all anyone could rave about on the day (highly recommend the chocolate brownies!)
